Drawing on anonymized data from more than 30,000 self-employed individuals, Accountable has analyzed what the self-employed in Germany actually earn \u2014 broken down by federal state and industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highest average annual revenue is found in Rhineland-Palatinate at \u20ac63,142, followed by Bavaria and Hesse. At the lower end sit Saarland, Saxony-Anhalt, and Schleswig-Holstein, with figures around \u20ac31,000 \u2014 roughly half of the top performer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By industry, real estate and financial brokers lead the ranking with an average of \u20ac84,374 per year, closely followed by consultants, engineers, and IT professionals. Photographers earn the least, averaging \u20ac31,810 annually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
